Happy Humans, Distressed Environment Essay By: Abby Zhao My work shares my ideas about No Time to Waste because when we celebrate our birthdays, we are happy but we put paper towels, leftover food, wrapping paper, plastic bags, used candles, etc. tons of trash in the trash can. That might be normal for us, but for the environment, it means more stress and struggling, the more parties we have, means the more trash we create, the more painful our environment suffered. So there is no time to waste to take actions. This idea is important to me because a lot of people do not think about how our actions affect the world around us. If we keep thinking about only us and not the environment, the Earth will become nothing but an empty world of trash where all people are miserable and unhappy. I hope that when other people see my work, they will realize how important the environment is to us and try hard to recycle and reduce the amount of trash they make at a special occasion, and also try to think more about the environment.
