Division II (Ages 10-13)

I tried to illustrate how a little seed can make a significant impact in our environment through this piece.   Because we usually feel we can "only do so much," we often put off helping the environment or taking action. With this painting, I wanted to prove this idea wrong and show that it's the little things that matter. Take a look at how the flowers bloom around one person's hand, one person's actions, and one person's decision to make a difference. I'd like you to see how this results in something beautiful. Many of us are unaware of this beauty because we are more concerned with what we are unable to accomplish than with what we can. This is why I wanted to use my art to communicate this message and ultimately encourage us to accomplish what we've always thought "isn't enough."
