Summer Snow Why I wanted to do this painting is because that I like the scene of summer with snowflakes falling down on your face. At first, I used pencil to outline what I was going to- draw. Then I used acrylic paint to make the snowflakes because when you use white acrylic paint with a small paintbrush, you can dab the paintbrush all around the painting and it would create little dots. I used watercolor for the bunny and the tree because when I use watercolor while painting, it gives a nice sense to the object I am painting. I also used more acrylic paint for the bunny’s eye, ears, and tail. For the tree, I used brown watercolor and green for the grass sticking out of the snow. The bunny and the tree are important because the bunny is sad and trying to hibernate somewhere by the tree, but since the tree is bare, it cannot hibernate. The tree is bare because some people took the leaves of it. I used blue watercolor for the background by swiftly painting side to side to make it look like a nice sky. I also used yellow watercolor for the sun and used brown watercolor for the bunny’s body. I chose a bunny as the animal to put in the picture is because it was very cute, and it looked like a good match. I also named the painting Summer Snow because there was the summer and winter season in the painting. This idea is important to me because I like caring for the environment. My painting goes with the theme, Plant the Seed because some people don’t respect the environment. I hope that when people see my painting that they will know to respect nature as it is. 😊
