Division III (Ages 14-18)

This artwork is done with watercolour and coloured pencils. It is inspired by Michelangelo’s painting-‘Creation of Adam’. The message in the ‘Creation of Adam’ asserts God as creater of humanity, reminding the connection man and God have. God may have given us such a great planet to live on, but now, the world is starting to change and a disaster might begin. So in my artwork, I drew a girl in God’s place representing the animal and nature with a seed in between herself and a man. Behind her, I have researched animals that are endangered and presented them in my artwork. It is really shocking the amount of animals that are endangered, decreasing day by day, and it’s very unfortunate because I haven’t heard of a lot of them ,and now, they are disappearing. I want to bring the point to plant seeds ,grow trees to decrease deforestation so the amount of endangered animals wouldn’t be so high. At times, we may forget, but animals are lifes too, they also have a right to live, they have families and siblings too ,(which I tried express in my artwork). On the left side of my painting is a man, (representing all human beings), as we can see, the ground is really bare, there is no much life. Years later, if we do nothing to help, our world might lose so much animal and end up looking lifeless like this. Plant the seed is what we can all do to help out of this big situation.
