In misfortune, there are many things included that represents planting a seed. As such the plant on top represents the seed that the Lady keeps as a remembrance of the past environment.the factories in the back represents the corruption of many parts of the world. The dark river showing oil spills into our worlds limited fresh water supply. This topic is important to me because I would want future generations to not have to deal with our failures to keep the world in a good condition for a long time. Quick technological advancements and ignorance to natural environments causes places like misfortune that were once beautiful to be of no more. I used a combination of paint and color pencil. I would like my art to influence humans usage of natural oil as it is in a limited supply. I would also like it to influence many campaigns for fighting poverty and environmental issues currently experienced in Africa.
