Division III (Ages 14-18)

Shidu is located in the southwest of Beijing, more than 70 kilometers away from the urban area. It is a river valley formed by the Daqing River tributary Juma River cutting the northern end of taihang Mountains. The Juma River nurtures the people on this fertile soil. However, in the past ten years, with the industrial construction and tourism development, the villages along the river have been densely populated, the population has increased, and the forest has been severely damaged; coupled with the intensification of global warming, the evaporation of the river has greatly increased, and the beauty of the river has disappeared... … However, such a scene ended in 2017, through the efforts of the town and village levels - cleaning up the garbage on the river bank, demolishing illegal constructions along the river, and improving the environment. Seeds have been planted, and the water quality of the Shidu section of Juma River has been upgraded to the national first-class water quality standard. Now there are a wide variety of wild animals and plants here, and it is a municipal-level wild aquatic animal nature reserve. We came to Shidu that day and enjoyed its beautiful scenery. Pick up the paintbrush and draw its characteristic karst peak forest; draw clear streams; draw flowers and trees growing from small seeds. Finally, I will use my actions to protect nature and show the world the Shidu scenic spot that has been re-seeded!
