Describe how the environmental element(s) displayed in your work relate to the theme: No Time to Waste? Firstly,Rates of endangerment and extinction have increased rapidly in concert with human population growth. Some species are particularly important to the health of an ecosystem. Many cultures around the globe value animals for reasons other than maintaining a healthy ecosystem. Animals play a prominent role in religions and belief systems of many cultures. Many people simply value animal species for the enjoyment and intrigue they offer. Others believe that humans have a moral obligation to live in harmony with other life forms on the planet. Many plants and animals which become extinct due to wholesale destruction of their habitat. If a species becomes extinct, it is game over as it has gone forever. There is no 'Walking with Dinosaurs' or 'Jurassic Park', we can never bring dinosaurs back. It is therefore necessary to define endangered animal species in terms of their aesthetic, practical and economic value to humanity. Preservation of endangered species is important to humanity for a number of reasons. Whatever the reasons, most people agree that it is vital to prevent various animal species from extinction. Oxygen is vital for respiration in most living organisms. Oxygen is produced during photosynthesis, the process whereby plants turn carbon dioxide and water into oxygen. Oxygen is important for all combustion process. The question is do we have enough oxygen and are we taking measures to slove this damage mage on earth by us?? Moving on to my next topic,Trees are vital. As the biggest plants on the planet, they give us oxygen, store carbon, stabilise the soil and give life to the world’s wildlife. They also provide us with the materials for tools and shelter. Not only are trees essential for life, but as the longest living species on earth, they give us a link between the past, present and future.Trees absorb carbon dioxide as they grow and the carbon that they store in their wood helps slow the rate of global warming. They reduce wind speeds and cool the air as they lose moisture and reflect heat upwards from their leaves. It’s estimated that trees can reduce the temperature in a city by up to 7°C.Trees also help prevent flooding and soil erosion. Therefore, we conclude that trees should be regularly planted to save the mankind and the animal world. Save them and they will save us in return. Plant more trees and as you plant trees you are planting life too because of the fact that they are giving us fresh air, woods that we people used to build our houses. They stands as our shelter most specially to the animals, a shield to heat. We should protect them because they are helping us. Sometimes we are being rude to them, we cut them without replacements and we are the reason why they are being fewer. Have mercy on them because they are one of the reason why we still have fresh air now. Why is this environmental element/issue important to you? Major current environmental issues may include climate change, pollution, environmental degradation, and resource depletion. The environment plays a significant role to support life on earth. But there are some issues that are causing damages to life and the ecosystem of the earth. Environmental issues are a matter of concern these days. With the rise of pollution levels and depletion of the ozone layer, This is mainly because environmental degradation threatens the existence of humankind. The present state of the earth requires each one of us to take the environment and issues related to it seriously. Most of us, however, do not do so. This is because the results of environmental damage are often not felt by us. These results are usually small in magnitude. There are several action that an individual or society could take to solve aforementioned problem. Firstly, governments should spread awareness through media such as television and radio about the significance of tress in our lives and encourage citizens to grow more and more tress. Secondly, farmers should adopt new technology such as hybrid seeds to improve the output of crops and also use recycle water for irrigation. Finally, rain water should be stored and used for harvesting and can also for domestic use to mitigate the water waste. To recapitulate, all the above mentioned it can be stated that awareness in people and advanced technology can only resolve water scarcity dilemma. Admittedly, people need to think wisely and act efficiently to preserve water. What artistic elements/media did you use to communicate your message? I was determined to use only the things I had practised with.My work had been filled with some vibrant colours to capture your attention and some issues I wanted to convey through this piece has been given priority and hope it’s clearly understandable. How do you see this Entry affecting those who view it? Since vision is closely related with art. My art work will make them reflect on the environmental issues we ignore and our future life on earth….having said this I may assure you that life on earth is not going to be enjoyable and peaceful if this continuous…in conclusion, I would like to quote that “BE A PART OF THE SOLUTION AND NOT THE POLLUTION” -Irene Saniya.S (15 yrs),India.
