Eco-Art Competition 2021.
I wanted to reflect on the issue of the droughts and the wildfires in California by highlighting the lack of water. Being a Californian, this summer I have experienced the fear of the need to evacuate from my house on top of the Covid 19 situation. Making me realize how close these environmental problems are to me. There is no time to waste relating to climate change and the abnormality in our environment depending on where one lives. I tried to take advantage of the repetitive nature of printmaking. I tried to highlight the issues of not having water and time passing by with various color schemes allowing a better presentation of the varying problems with water. I want the viewers to realize the need to take action because of the water issues in life whether if its droughts, or lack of clean water, these are also issues that need to fixed to avoid the day where we regret not doing so earlier.
