2020 - Division II (Grades 4-8)

I created this artwork because people spend money in careless ways. Money is not endless. Money doesn't grow on trees. Money may buy you anything you want, but money cannot buy happiness. In my artwork, the girl is crying because of the dead and cut down trees. In the girl's eye, there is a dead tree with money hanging from it. The branches on the girl's face represent the dead trees because we are not taking care of the environment. Earth is home to everyone, so we should take care of the environment to avoid plants and animals from being harmed. Plants are very important because they produce oxygen. When trees are cut down to build factories, pollution is spread into the air, which isn't good for the environment.
