Demonstrating the environmental elements of this painting are the flowers, specifically the hibiscuses. Although I did not paint a yellow hibiscus, the yellow hibiscus is endangered and is only found in Hawaii. I hope to spread the word to create a more healthy environment for these plants, not only the yellow hibiscus, but many others that are near extinction as well. I painted the flowers large, with no signs of wilting to show the true guests of these flowers once they are taken care of. Perhaps someone who sees this will stop and think about what humankind has been doing with wildlife: deforestation, pollution, and burning fossil fuels. I wish that whoever sees this painting will make an impact on the environment.
