Division II (Ages 10-13)

My artwork is about protecting nature by planting seeds. Animals such as the American Bison, Grizzly Bear, Blue Morpho, Green Ants, Moose, and White-tailed Deer, as well as vegetation, lived in harmony in my drawing. I sketched a serene lake with crimson lotuses in the center of my drawing. Forests serve as the backdrop of my artwork. There are leaves and vines in the front. I drew a hand, holding a seedling in the dirt with a busy bee resting on it. The drawing's objective is to motivate others to protect trees. All of this beautiful nature can be achieved by just a simple act. Trees are crucial to our ecology, but deforestation has had many negative implications throughout history, particularly for the animals who lived and thrived there. Trees purify the air and help to restore the natural environment. Trees will also aid in the survival and nourishment of many animals, particularly endangered ones. For example, without trees, species such as salmon will perish, leaving other animals hungry if salmon is their primary source of food. Species such as the Greater Bamboo Lemur and the Black-and-White Lemur will suffer population declines if deforestation continues. People acknowledged the importance of tree planting. In 2017, #TeamTrees was founded. That means, if we plant more trees, we get more of these benefits. We may also prevent mudslides, which can destroy our homes, by planting more trees. Oil pastels, watercolors, and color pencils were used. The tone of my drawing can be conveyed by using various colors. Yellow, for example, is a joyful color, while blue is a peaceful one. Because green is associated with nature, I used a lot of blue and green in my artwork. I hope that my drawing will inspire others to appreciate the beauty of nature and to act promptly.
