Division I (Ages 5-9)

In recent years, there have been many big wildfires in California, my home state. These wildfires have burned down large area of forrests and many houses. A lot of people and animals have to leave their lovely home, or need to rebuild them all over again. I did this drawing because I want people not to lose hope in face of natural disasters. During my trip to national parks last summer, I saw new plants growing out of ruins. I hope we can learn from the tough spirit of plants and seeds. No matter how badly burned, they will grow again as long as spring comes back. And No matter how big the natural disaster is, we the human will survive as long as we help each other and help the nature!
