Eco-Art Competition 2022

This painting is based on an original artwork . I replaced the green trees with poor soil and burnt-down trees to show deforestation, and I also changed the people's movements from enjoying the afternoon to replanting tree saplings. This relates to the theme 'Plant the Seed' since it shows the effort of people who are trying to restore the nature that has been destroyed by humans. This environmental issue is very important to me because everyone has participated in this issue, and everyone will have to face the consequences, whether that is in the form of having polluted air, desertification, or other many different ways. I used an existing painting as an inspiration because It is effective when showing the drastic change of environments. My painting shows that even though we humans have already damaged the environment, a seed that could restore the environment can be planted if we have hope and effort.
