Division III (Ages 14-18)

My collage explores the importance of actively planting seeds as the world engulfs in food shortages, soil erosion, and air pollution. I believe sowing could potentially put an end to these hazards. The hourglass represents the dilemma with different colors used to show the changes brought to the world by sowing or not. The upper side of the hourglass is about sowing, germinating, and growing plants, creating a hopeful atmosphere. The hourglass itself symbolizes the passage of time.
