Division III (Ages 14-18)

As shown in the painting, the life in the center symbolizes Earth itself and resources present on Earth, such as flowers, trees, and water. In the drawing, living flowers and stems exist in the center of the creature while leaves and tree stems are gradually withering and contaminated toward the edge of it. This is the same with water in the tail. Clean and clear water exists in the center, but it becomes darker and murky toward the end. This creature which represents life is slowly dying, and so is Earth. Looking at the Internet these days, we can easily find news that global warming is occurring due to environmental pollution. As a result, the ecosystem has been destroyed, and many lives are dying from losing their homes and food. So far, the damage to humans has not been significant, but if it continues, the food chain will be broken and enormous damage will return to us later. However, most people often fall for it without realizing how serious it is. The phenomena that are happening to Earth now are actually very serious, warning us of the fate of the Earth, which is that Earth will someday become uninhabitable. As such, I think it is important for the people to realize the seriousness of this situation and prepare to prevent such a future. I drew this picture in the hope that the people who see the picture could clearly see that the tragedy happening to Earth is as serious as the death of a life. However, in this painting, the sunshine of hope is still shining in a corner of the forest. I hope that people who see this will pay more attention to the Earth's environment so that the future of the Earth can be brighter.
