No nature, no future

Division II (Ages 10-13)

The environmental elements I included in my artwork was a flower drawn to look like it was sort of, lifting up the city and also for it to look like it was the reason why we came all this way to the present in a way. I also drew the city to try and make it look as if the world was getting more technologically advanced while all the nature is hanging on by a thread. The bridge that starts from the flower up to the top of the painting was added because I wanted to make it look like the flower was floating away from existence as the technology grows, in a sense. I feel this environmental issue is important to me because it affects my future, and future generations after ours. Hopefully, my entry affects people in a positive way, and that they see it not as just a painting, but something that humanity should be worried and aware about; protecting our nature for the sake of not only the earth, but our lives and future generations.
