2021 - Division II (Ages 10-13)

1) I call my art "Sand Against Time". Because I am a member of my local scuba diving club, we dive into the lakes and Oceans picking up trash and some time we will pick-up about 10 to 20 bags of trash. That is when I realized that it was a lot of trash and plastic in our Oceans and Lakes. So, I did my art work in a hour glass to show time is run out, the sand is almost gone and the trash will fall into our Oceans and kill all the ocean. 2) This is very important to because I use the oceans to explore the world underwater, I can swim without restrictions and it is the most peaceful place to be. 3) By showing that if we don't start taking care of our marine ecosystem the over time there wont be a marine ecosystem to take care of. 4) It might give them a different perspective about how precious our marine ecosystems are.
