The imagery of the forest and different flowers represents the after-effect of the action 'planting the seed'. This theme resonates with me the most since Hong Kong has known for its dense population and skyscrapers. With the population increase over the recent years, a breath of fresh greenery can be hardly seen, however, the government has been trying to replant more trees in urban areas. The flowers in this artwork symbolize the limited time humans have to restore the balance for the Earth since flowers in Chinese culture is an emblem of the calendar where specific flowers represent or associate each month. This artwork creates subtle imagery for viewers as they might not understand the meaning of this work at first glance.
