Division I (Ages 5-9)

My idea is to present two completely different worlds in an hourglass. The one above is the world I like, where there are many beautiful flowers and plants. The one below is the world I don’t like, where there are barren mountains, deserts and trees that have been cut down and withered. I intend to turn the world below into the world I like. So I drew water in the middle of the hourglass, and sowed seeds. Then the seeds absorb water and nutrients in the soil and grow into plants. In this way, barren mountains and deserts can also become a beautiful new world full of plants and flowers. The earth is the home of humankind. Humanity's survival depends on healthy ecosystems. In barren mountains and deserts where plants are extremely rare, living conditions are hostile, human life will be greatly threatened and challenged. Plants can help purify and improve our living environment. So plants are our close friends. I hope my painting could show people that plants play an essential role in the environment. Hope that more and more people could participate in the environment protection and improvement. We could start with planting seeds, which goes a long way towards making the earth a better place.
