The idea of this image is of endangered fish and overfishing because of my love for the ocean. I have decided to create a drawing of endangered fish and make a comparison to the darkness and problems in our world today. The issue of overfishing is important to me because I am a fisherman myself. I care for our oceans and have been brought up to always leave things better than when you found it. I found the ocean and fishing when I was a small child. Since then overfishing has become a growing problem in the world and something that is difficult for me to watch happen. To articulate my message I used colored pencils to try and recreate the look of stained glass. My hope for the people who view my drawing is that they not only have a better understanding of overfishing but all world problems and how we must realize and learn to take better care of the world that we call home.
