Division III (Ages 14-18)

My work “tree of life” shares the idea of “Plant the Seed” by representing life and nourishment that nature provides. This idea is an important part of me that I have always been interested in. Nature and the circle of life are always bringing new things and “Planting the Seed” for growth, which is essential for existence. I hope people will see the beauty of the environment around them, and take a closer look next time they go outside. I want people to realize that there is more to the world, while that very same place is planting new experiences and enchantment to this place we live in. The piece has hidden animals and messages throughout the page. They represent the old and new things that have been flourishing over time. By planting a seed viewers will realize that outstanding things can come out of fresh ideas with helping the nature around them. As time goes on more and more animals and even trees are either being killed or cut down. The very air we breathe isn’t safe anymore. All living things matter. By planting a seed, we can help make the world prosper again. The work has black ink to indicate the little details of each living organism. When people see my artwork, my hope is that it will affect their perspective on the subject. My desire is to open the eyes of many people who don’t comprehend the issue that's sitting right in front of us.
