Planting Bad Seeds

Division I (Ages 5-9)

When people plant good seeds, there are lovely flowers and trees growing. However, when people plant bad seeds, there are consequences. I was thinking about why trash is planted just like flowers and trees when I first saw a landfill site picture in a book. After I read the book, I found out it causes illnesses to people and threats to the earth. Animals are choked by trash like plastics or poisoned by the toxins that landfills make. I was very upset that we made too much trash, and I was worried that our earth can’t handle that much trash. I drew a stinking and messy landfill that is being planted by diggers. I also used some real trash to make the landfill. I think people will feel bad after seeing it. I hope everyone makes less trash, protects our planet, and only plants good seeds.
