Division II (Ages 10-13)

One day I was watching the news, and I was shocked to see that there are over one million plastic bottles being purchased every minute. It is so bad, that there is even an island that is made out of trash and mostly plastic. I was so surprised by this news that I knew I had to do something to help. I want to spread awareness to people that plastic can have many great uses but can lead to damaging the environment through my artwork. In my artwork there is trash that is scattered around everywhere. There are factories in the background causing pollution in the air. But some of the trash is slowly turning into seeds, flying out in the sky, looking for a spot to land and sprout. This is resembling how even a few people changing can make a difference to our world. One by one, we can just change our actions for the better, just like how trash is changing into seeds.
