My art relates to the theme, “Plant the Seed” because as you can see, a single plant sits in the middle of the scene. A green aura radiates off of it as a shield protecting one of the many endangered animals, a tiger. The smoke, gas, etc are trying to reach for it, but the single plant made a big enough impact. This environmental issue is important to me because Earth doesn’t only belong to us. It belongs to the animals too. It makes me feel sad that the animals have to put up with our mess and they’re paying for it with their lives. I used my dark Azure alcohol based markers to give a darker look to accentuate the green leaf in the middle. I also used my pencils to shade in the tiger to give it more depth and inflict more emotions to the viewers. I hope this Entry would affect the people who view it in many different ways. But one of those many ways is maybe rethinking your daily decisions, such as recycling, composting, etc. Even volunteering to plant a seed in their park or back yard. I just hope they have a different view on this situation.
