Eco-Art Competition 2022

Many conservational efforts are made by planting trees and plants to offset carbon, however in an attempt to explore the theme further I chose to reference the saying ‘seeds of doubt’. In my opinion, the denial of our current climate crisis is ridiculous, and I wanted to convey the irony in this situation. I decided to also add the aspect of commercialisation, where denial is being sold as a pill to take, as the those who are destroying are planet are profiting the most by deceiving the public. I hope this reaches people in a way that will make them question whether they are truly acknowledging what is happening in our world, as often the media sells us such absurd and misleading information all in an effort to make money and continue this self destructive cycle we are stuck in.
