Division II (Ages 10-13)

The environment and human beings are undivided. The background of my work is mostly dark, which represents a polluted environment. The environment can't change itself unless we human beings are willing to actively change our minds and behaves. I wanted to use the theme "Plant the Seed" to help promoting the idea of changing, and hopefully, we will see brighter colors in nature and a less polluted sky, as shown in the center of my work --- the eye drop. I chose to use makers because I used a lot of different colors to present different details. In human world, planting a seed could be taken up as giving birth to a baby, and we all expect all the best for the new born! That's exactly what I would like my audience to feel when they view my work: I am not only planting a seed, I am planting hope.
