The interweaving of life

I chose an artistic way of expressing thoughts about the interconnectedness of earthly life. We are all part of a fragile system called the biosphere, where every biological being has occupied its niche. In my work, all members of this biosphere are divided into three elements: plants, represented by seed; people, represented by man-made ornaments; and the rest of biological life, represented by a spirit deer. Plants have become an important part of life for both humans (food, raw materials) and animals (food, shelter). The world as we know it would not exist without plants, the creators of the atmosphere and soil. The balance in this fragile biosphere has been preserved for millennia, but with the development of human civilization, people began to take more and more, giving little back. Animals have a stronger bond with plants. In exchange for food and shelter, they spread seeds and pollinate flowers. People fall out of this system, destroying unwanted ecosystems and replacing them with their own plantations (and in the worst case - production). The more we learn about ecology, the more we understand that humanity needs to make a greater contribution from its side. My work calls for maintaining a delicate balance: taking less and giving more. Planting a seed is a good start. Not the seed of a garden flower, which will delight us with its smell; not the wheat seed, which will turn to bread. But the seed of a tree in the park that will become a home for squirrels. The seed of a forest tree on which birds will nest. Finally, the seeds of tropical plants, because the local fauna cannot have another home. I hope that more people will see this inextricable connection between us, and will do more to maintain balance.
