Blossoms at the Park By: Brynn Garner My idea of the cherry blossoms was created because cherry blossoms are beautiful, and they help the environment. Birds and insects are attracted to the cherry blossoms because the cherries have nutrients. Insects help pollinate the tree and other plants. Cherry blossoms are important to the environment as it is part of the ecosystem without these trees, insects will not be able to pollinate, and the birds will not have any insects to eat. These trees also represent springtime and a sense of renewal. Some people get sad during winter and when they see the pink in the trees it makes them feel happy. The pink cherry blossoms remind them that winter is over, and a new year has begun. The sadness that they once felt turns into joy when they are faced with a new beginning each year. The color and scent of the blossoms makes you feel relaxed too. When people see my artwork, I want them to feel like calmness has just washed over them. I want them to feel like they are in the park, and they are watching the butterflies and a perfect breeze just came through and that the birds are playing a beautiful melody…not too loud, not too soft, but just right. These Cherry blossom trees are not only good for the environment but are good for people so they can have an experience with nature. I hope when you see my artwork that you will find joy, happiness, and peace.
