Eco-Art Competition 2022

In many depictions of issues like this, the themes are grim and depressing. Sometimes, what’s really needed is a bit of brightness to help bring people up. In this piece, I hope to communicate that! The characters in this piece, a group of kids, are carrying different plants to... well, plant! They’re talking amongst each other, viewing the vast jungle around them, and seeing how what they’re going to do will help the jungle in the long run. Their trees will grow as big as the ones around them, and the flowers bloom beautifully, each helping combat the problem of deforestation, and allowing the animals to have more places to live. And speaking of, the animals of the jungle are helping out too! They appreciate what the group is doing, and work together with them to create a better future. The cartoony style of the piece lends it to be more lighthearted, and hopefully easy to connect to. I hope this entry inspires people, and shows that helping out can be fun, a chance to bond with others and nature, and not just be a chore.
