2021 - Division II (Ages 10-13)

Earth Is a Ticking Time Bomb My artwork shows Earth as a bomb that is been lit. We don’t have much time to extinguish the flame that will be our own doom. Look at our times now and notice how there is a considerate amount of people that keep waiting around for someone else to take on the job of saving our planet. Many times, I think if an alien were to look at our home, they too will see how much we have neglected it. Any other life from might even see us as some space junk that was forgotten, just floating through space with no purpose. My artwork might have some funny characters or seem like a joke, but this is far from it. I hope we all take a look at ourselves and try to do one thing if possible, just one a day that can help us slow that flame that will destroy us. That something can be simple things such as closing the tap as we brush our teeth or keeping our parents from buying plastic bottles and straws. We should be the ones to stop the flame that past generations have ignited, we still have time, but we must be fast. We have a beautiful home, the rarest jewel in our solar system. Let’s not make it explode. By: Logan Talley
