Look into our Future

“Look into our Future” centers around the idea of planting a seed to take action and consider what the future holds for our planet. The theme was created from the original photo of myself looking into a plastic bottle with my eye in the center of the bottle end as a literal representation of the title. Natural elements such as clean, sufficient amounts of water, a fish, and fresh flowers are all pouring out of the bottle without much time left. The yellow warning signs depict the level of severity of the current state the world is facing. This crisis cannot be defeated unless we all come together to take action and use our platforms. As much as it is a global issue, it also becomes a personal concern because as time passes, endless news regard our current environmental issues and climate change; with the current COVID-19 pandemic, it is important to come together to take action before it is too late. In order to communicate my message and theme, I used digital artwork and photoshop to involve realistic elements such as news headlines. For those who view this artwork, people would be able to grasp a sincere understanding coming from a high school student on why everyone should use their voices to come together to fight against environmental issues and become an eco-friendly Earth.
