The environmental elements displayed in my work relate to the theme of 'Plant the Seed' because it tells the story of planting the first seed towards eliminating fast fashion litter. There are millions of tons of clothes dumped from fast fashion all over the world, such as the dumpsite in the Atacama Desert. Planting the seed to me is beginning to eliminate these dumpsites and planting the first seed to recycle them into beautiful clothes for children and families in need. Once our environment is empty from landfills like these, we can plant another seed, a real one, to fill in the space of once trashed areas of land. To plant the seed is to begin to fix an otherwise ignored problem, pushed off as unimportant. But fast-fashion stores like ZARA, Shein, H&M, Old Navy, and more cause large amounts of clothes to be disposed of yearly. If we recycle the buildup of clothes, the word will be a little cleaner and some people will be a little happier!
