Division III (Ages 14-18)

My entry, "Fueling the Green", shows a portrait of myself crying while seedlings sprint out from my hands. The idea of planting trees for a greener future seems so broad but it isn't, many organizations are working on it but the outcomes aren't satisfying. We need to work together to give a better atmosphere for our future generations, this can start by planting a seed. Not only physically planting a seed on the ground, but in our hearts to always remember our planet comes before us. With tears falling from my eyes, it emphasizes my feelings on global warming, land contamination, water use, and so on. The earth in the background shows how the earth is small in the wide universe and we, humans, make big impacts. I would want to use this drawing to make my viewers reflect on their feelings about our planet slowly dying since this drawing is a reflection of my own.
