Eco-Art Competition 2022

The environmental theme depicted in my artwork is pollution. This relates to the “Plant The Seed” theme immensely because pollution can affect our lives, health, and planet right now and for hundreds of years to come. This element is important to me in the general sense because of its effect on both humans and our earth. It causes health problems in humans and it also affects me personally due to environmental racism – the discriminatory practice that dictates that incinerators and other manmade air polluters. I hope this entry makes people think about the correlation between air, pollution, our bodies and our home the earth. For my artwork, I used acrylic paint and streched canvas.
