2021 - Division III (Ages 14-18)

The environmental elements shown in my drawing are Earth, air, water, and plants. The elements listed above relate to the theme : No Time to waste because it reflects that there are major changes needed in order to save the Earth. The air isn’t as clear as it use to be and it will only get worst as pollution increases. Trash is filling the oceans and polluting and killing sea animals, that is also a negative effect on the earth because clean water is necessary to keep the animals living. Plants are dying, most important trees which provide clean air and oxygen, causing heavy polluted air to invade our lungs. This environmental issue is important to me because I would be experiencing all the negatives effects of the things explained above. I would also like to breathe clean air and swim in clear oceans. I use color pencils as my source of color to demonstrate a healthy Earth transitioning into a polluted, dying Earth. I also used a black sharpie to make the hourglass stand out. The hourglass is to show that time is running out and it won’t stop unless major changes are made. This entry should affect the viewers positively and motivate them to take caution and help work towards creating a healthier Earth.
